A first set of CMIP5 experiments with the IPSL-CM5B-LR model is available on the Earth System Grid Gateway. Compared to IPSL-CM5A, IPSL-CM5B includes a brand new set of physical parameterizations of the atmospheric model, i.e. new parameterizations of boundary layer, deep convection and clouds processes. The main objective of this model version is to test these major developments, although this new version have some important biases due to incomplete developments and lack of tuning.
